The Facts:
The Washington Redskins announced that they have signed Fauria to a contract. Terms were undisclosed. Fauria served as the Patriots' third tight end in 2005. He spent the last four seasons with the club, never missing a game.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Redskins pounced on him quickly after losing Robert Royal to the Bills on the first day of free agency. Fauria had eight catches for 57 yards in 2005, both career lows. But part of that was the fact he was playing behind Daniel Graham and Benjamin Watson. Of course, his role is likely to be similarly limited by Chris Cooley and Mike Sellers in Washington.
