Arian Foster Still Not Ready To Return; Time For Concern?
(8/18 5:50 PT)

The Facts:
Gary Kubiak hoped Foster would be back on the field tomorrow, but because of continued back soreness Foster won't be available. "He's had some injections to try to alleviate some of the soreness," Kubiak said moments ago. "The way I understand it we're trying to (work through) the injection process." Kubiak said Foster began getting injections the day before the Texans first preseason game. As he understands it, those injections have caused some pain in Foster's legs. Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Asked if there was concern of nerve damage from a back injury, Kubiak said no. ... "I'm not there yet because I see him work," Kubiak said when asked if he was worried Foster wouldn't be available Week 1. "I see what he's going through. I am concerned about repetitions. That's just me as a coach. ... We gotta do what we gotta do. We're trying to do the smart thing here. ..." Foster first injured his calf during organized team activities and just when his calf healed, a back injury kept him on the physically unable to perform list. The Texans will re-evaluate Foster's status on Tuesday. It's not easy for Kubiak who only has one healthy running back on his roster with significant NFL experience right now in Ben Tate. "The running back picture is concerning," Kubiak said. It's something we'll be watching closely (subscribers can hit our AugustUpdate Texans page for more on this story).
