The Facts:
Carson Palmer, expected back in Cincinnati today for the first time since reconstructive knee surgery two months ago, may not be ready to start the season. But the Bengals, who have two other QBs on the roster that didn't take snaps in a NFL game last year in Craig Krenzel and Doug Johnson, don't look to be pursuing anything beyond a backup either because of Palmer's big extension or the fact he hasn't had any setbacks in rehab, or probably both.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
It's unclear what the Bengals' next move is going to be to replace Jon Kitna if he does the expected and signs elsewhere. With Sage Rosenfels now a Texan, they may have to look at older candidates like Tommy Maddox or -- if the Bucs re-sign Brian Griese -- Tim Rattay or Luke McCown might be available.
