Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Giants didn't say which leg is fractured, but Brown appeared to be favoring his left side as he came off the field. Brown fractured his left leg last November, ending his season after 10 games. It's a substantial loss for the Giants, who were counting on a big contribution from Brown as a third-down and goal-line back. It also sets the stage for an even bigger role for David Wilson, who capped an excellent preseason with 36 yards on seven carries against the Patriots. Wilson averaged nearly 7.5 yards per rush over four preseason games. Ryan Torain and Da'Rel Scott are two in-house options who could step into a bigger role. Torain's ability as a pass protector might give him the edge. The Giants also could look at outside help, with the likes of Cedric Benson and Willis McGahee available.
