It's Official: Robert Griffin III Cleared For Week 1
(8/29 9:49 PT)

The Facts:
It’s official, straight from the source: Griffin has been cleared to play after spending the offseason rehabilitating a surgically repaired knee. Griffin wrote on Twitter on Thursday night that “Operation Patience,” the name he gave the process of his recovery, is over.  Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Dr. James Andrews, the doctor who performed the surgery on Griffin’s torn ACL, met with Griffin today and gave him the go-ahead to play in the Monday night opener against the Eagles. Griffin and Andrews have been saying all along that he is making excellent progress in his recovery from a major knee injury, and he has been expected for months to be on the field when the regular season started. But until today, we didn’t have official confirmation from Griffin himself. Now we have the official word: Griffin is ready to go.
