The Facts:
HC Doug Marrone announced earlier this week that Kolb is not considering retirement after his latest concussion. Kolb's 2013 season, however, is over. The Bills placed Kolb on injured reserve, according to Howard Balzer. The team also ended return man Brad Smith's season by placing him on injured reserve.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal suggests, it's telling that the Bills were not willing to wait to see whether Kolb's post-concussion symptoms improved quickly. He struggled to overcome a serious concussion in Arizona, and has a history of head injuries. The Bills are currently planning to start undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel in Week 1, although first-round pick EJ Manuel will get the call if he can get healthy in time. The team also reportedly released Matt Leinart on Friday. It's possible that Thaddeus Lewis will remain on the roster as a No. 3 quarterback.
