Vereen broke a small bone in his wrist on his first play of Sunday’s win over the Bills, but still had 159 yards from scrimmage, including 101 rushing yards. Now they might have to turn back to Stevan Ridley, who was benched in favor of Vereen after a second-quarter fumble. To take Vereen’s roster spot, the Patriots brought back tight end Matthew Mulligan, who spent two days on their roster last week.
