Intial Tests On Reggie Bush's Knee Encouraging
(9/16 1:38 PT)

The Facts:
Bush, who was scheduled to undergo an MRI after injuring his knee Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, could be available to play in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins, a source familiar with the injury told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. HC Jim Schwartz acknowledged that Bush will be sore but said that the results of Monday's tests were "encouraging." Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
"The tests today were encouraging," Schwartz said Monday. "He's going to be sore but he doesn't have anything that is going to be long term." However, Schwartz also emphasized that Bush's injury might not be a short-term one. "It's too hard to speculate on injuries," Schwartz said. "That's why I usually don't." Schwartz also said Bush's only concern is the knee injury, not the groin or thumb injuries he suffered in Detroit's season-opening victory against Minnesota.
