Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Jackson had to leave the Sunday's victory over the St. Louis Rams early Sunday and never returned. Jackson was the Falcons' big offseason acquisition in their quest to finally reach the Super Bowl but has been somewhat injury-prone throughout his career despite his superior talent and toughness. He is officially "week-to-week" but the Falcons expect him to be slow to recover from a soft-tissue injury. He struggled for over a month when he pulled his quad in Week 1 of the 2011 season. Backups Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling will likely split backfield duties in Jackson's absence. The two combined for just 36 yards Sunday after Jackson departed, although Snelling may have won over the coaching staff with his 11-yard touchdown run to seal the victory.
