With Brandon Weeden sidelined by a sprained thumb, coach Rob Chudzinski announced Wednesday that Hoyer, not Jason Campbell, will start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Hoyer, listed as the team's third-string passer, will make just his second NFL start after engineering a 27-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers as a member of the Arizona Cardinals last December.
