Blaine Gabbert Will Start Week 6 If Healthy Enough
(10/6 10:22 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... Gabbert will be the Jaguars' starting quarterback next Sunday against Denver -- provided his left hamstring injury isn’t severe enough to put him on the bench. HC Gus Bradley didn’t hesitate a bit when asked that question after the Jaguars’ 34-20 loss to the St. Louis Rams. Gabbert is his quarterback.  Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Gabbert’s performance against the Rams produced some compelling reasons why he shouldn’t -- and should -- be. And that's the problem. Gabbert is inconsistent, with flashes of the kind of talent that would warrant being the No. 10 overall selection in the 2011 draft and moments in which he looks to be gun-shy and lacking football sense. "We just need the consistency of making good decisions," Bradley said. And as much as it seems like Chad Henne makes better decisions, Gabbert will get further opportunity to prove he is (or truly isn't) the team's QB of the future, starting this week if the hamstring is willing. We'll be updating regularly in coming days.
