The Chargers have announced that Mathews left tonight's game against the Raiders with a concussion. He will not return.

Mathews took a knee to the helmet before halftime. He was held to eight yards on three carries as Danny Woodhead continues to play an increasingly prominent role in San Diego's backfield. Now, Mathews will have to go through the NFL's concussion protocol to get clearance before returning to action. We'll follow up as the process plays out in coming days.
