Sources have told the Herald that Brees preferred the Dolphins over New Orleans even though the Saints made a more lucrative offer when he visited them Saturday and Sunday. For the Dolphins and agent Tom Condon, who is considered a hard-line negotiator, the main issue was over guaranteed money. The Saints are believed to have offered more than $8 million.
