The Facts:
No press conference. No grand announcement. The official end of Owens' time as an Eagle came and went on Tuesday afternoon as the club issued a one-line statement indicating they have terminated the contract of the controversial wide receiver. "The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have terminated the contract of WR Terrell Owens," said the statement.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Eagles had until 4 p.m. Tuesday to either release Owens or pay him a $5 million roster bonus. He is now free to sign with any team in the NFL. As noted previously, Dallas, Denver and Kansas City are expected to be the parties most interested.
