The Facts:
Wilson feared the second opinion he received on his neck today could mean season-ending surgery. But after a visit to the doctor in Los Angeles, Wilson was told the procedure was not recommended, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Wilson will still be out for roughly 3-4 weeks with the issue, leaving the Giants backfield thin. As previously noted, Da'Rel Scott is expected to miss some time with a strained hamstring. Brandon Jacobs also missed practice today with a hamstring issue but is expected to go on Thursday when players return. This could all mean an expanded role for rookie Michael Cox in the meantime. He's yet to receive a carry this season. According to Star-Ledger staffer Conor Orr, putting Wilson on that timetable could mean that the Giants see both Andre Brown (leg) and Wilson return to the field at the same time. Brown can play on Nov. 10 against the Raiders and can start practicing slightly beforehand.
