Giants Open A Roster Spot By Waiving-Injured Da'Rel Scott
(10/16 2:3 PT)

The Facts:
The Giants had veteran running backs Peyton Hillis and D.J. Ware in for workouts on Tuesday and it looks like one of them will be joining the team. Multiple reports have both running backs remaining in town to take physicals with the team on Wednesday and there’s an open roster spot after the team announced they have waived/injured Scott. The designation means Scott would revert to the team’s injured reserve or be released with an injury settlement if he is not claimed on waivers. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Scott injured his hamstring last Thursday against the Bears. It was his first game back with the team after being waived following the Giants’ Week Four loss to the Chiefs and re-signed a week later. Scott was signed after David Wilson hurt his neck, an injury that won’t require surgery but is expected to keep him out of the lineup for a few weeks. Jeremy Wright and one-time Giant Ryan Torain also reportedly worked out for the Giants on Tuesday as they look for a back to go with Brandon Jacobs and Michael Cox.
