ongoing story. ... Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the MRI performed on Wayne’s knee on Monday confirmed the initial diagnosis and that means the Colts will now have to play the rest of the season without a player they haven’t played a single game without since the 2001 season.

As PFT's Josh Alper notes, Darrius Heyward-Bey and T.Y. Hilton will certainly be part of it, but the trade deadline comes next week and the Colts have already shown a willingness to deal for offensive help in the wake of injuries this season when they acquired running back Trent Richardson after Vick Ballard went down for the year. ...
