Harvin is listed as returning to practice on the official NFL transactions report for today. He’s also listed as remaining on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

What that means is Harvin can begin practicing but is not on the active 53-man roster — at some point, the team would have to release a player to make room for Harvin. The Seahawks now have a three-week window in which Harvin can practice with the team without being placed on the active roster. At the end of that time he has to be put on the active roster or remain on the PUP list the rest of the year. The obvious expectation is that Harvin will soon be on the active roster, maybe as quickly as Monday’s game at St. Louis. What this also means is that Harvin made it through his last few workouts without any setbacks in his recovery from the hip surgery he had on Aug. 1. ... Stay tuned.
