Vick will announce his status for Sunday's Giants game when Vick speaks with reporters following practice today, a source close to Vick said. That announcement is expected to be that Vick feels his left hamstring has healed enough for him to play.

His healing took on greater urgency for the fanbase when Nick Foles played three terrible quarters, then suffered a concussion Sunday against the Cowboys, a week after being named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Tampa. OC Pat Shurmur said Tuesday that Vick will take first-team reps in practice, something he has not done since the injury.
