McCown arrived in New Orleans on Tuesday for a visit with the Saints, only to find they had just signed Drew Brees to be their starting quarterback. So McCown quickly changed course, literally, and was catching a flight to Oakland on Tuesday evening to talk with the Raiders.

He also could sign with Detroit, even though the Lions signed Jon Kitna on Tuesday. McCown visited the Lions on Sunday. Other teams, including Chicago and Minnesota, reportedly are interested in him as a backup. Minnesota traded Daunte Culpepper to Miami on Tuesday for a second-round pick.
