The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... Vick left Sunday’s game after aggravating his hamstring injury and the QB is headed for an MRI to see how much damage might have been done when he heard the hamstring pop. Regardless of what the tests show, HC Chip Kelly isn’t expecting Vick to be part of his quarterback choice this week. If Nick Foles gets cleared after his concussion, Kelly thinks the choice will be between Foles and Matt Barkley against the Raiders in Week 9.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
“Matt is healthy, so that’s a positive,” Kelly said. “I would think Mike would not be ready to go, and it depends on where Nick is. So we’ll know early in the week which two guys we got to prepare for, one and two. Our first day of practice is [Tuesday]. We’ll have a good understanding today. I know Nick will come in today and meet with [trainer] Chris Peduzzi and our doctors, and we’ll have a good understanding of where Nick is this week and what’s his availability. ...” Whoever does play quarterback, Kelly made it clear after Sunday’s loss that he expects better play from the position.
