The Facts:
Wells became one of the rare players in NFL history to suffer a season-ending Achilles injury during a tryout last week. While trying out for the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday, the former first-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals hurt his Achilles and it prevented him from finishing the workout. The injury is so bad, per league sources, that Wells will not be able to work out for any other teams in the coming weeks, ending his season before it even began.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The former Ohio State standout, who battled injuries during his four seasons in Arizona, was released by the Cardinals in March. Wells eclipsed 1,000 yards and scored 10 touchdowns in 2011, but was limited to eight games last season due to a turf toe injury. Last season, he ran for 234 yards and eight touchdowns as part of what was the worst offense in the NFL. Wells has 2,471 yards and 24 touchdowns rushing, with 28 catches for 293 yards in 51 career games.
