Andre Brown Preparing To Hit The Ground Running This Week
(11/4 12:0 PT)

The Facts:
As players scattered this week to enjoy their bye, Brown has remained at the team’s training facility. He’s intensifying his workouts in preparation for a grueling practice week. If all goes well, the Giants will likely activate him.  Reported by the Newark Star-Ledger

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Brown, who was slated to be the power back in the Giants’ two-headed running attack along with the speedy David Wilson, suffered a second fracture to his left fibula in the Giants’ final preseason game at New England. Assuming he's activated this week, he'll join Peyton Hillis, Brandon Jacobs and rookie Michael Cox in a crowded backfield. Wilson (neck) is scheduled to be re-evaluated early next week. ... Brown insists he’s 100 percent healthy. He says he’s exploding off the leg and making cuts. There’s no pain. He claims there’s no extra risk in re-fracturing the leg for a third time outside of the normal injury risks every NFL player faces every week. "It was just a freak accident," he said of his second fracture in two years. "I got hit right where the plate (inserted after his first surgery) was at. Now I have a shin guard on it. I guess I’ll be wearing that for the rest of my career."
