ongoing story. ... HC Rob Chudzinski said today that Campbell suffered only bruised ribs during Sunday's 24-18 victory over the Ravens and could be back in practice on Tuesday. "Jason looks to be fine,' said Chudzinski. "X-rays were negative. I'm very happy that he's okay. He played really well.'

The Browns are on their bye week and can now reasonably expect Campbell to be ready to start in Cincinnati Nov. 17 against the first-place Bengals. He said Campbell's calmness and "presence with our younger guys has really given us a lift. I can't say enough about Jason as a person and a professional in a number of different areas.' Campbell, 31, completed 23 of 35 attempts for 262 yards with three touchdowns for a 116.6 rating. He's 1-1 with the Browns with a 106.6 rating in his two starts.
