The team made the expected announcement Tuesday, the deadline to activate Crabtree and still allow him to play this season after a 21-day window following his return to practice. The hope is that Crabtree will make his season debut for San Francisco (7-4) in Sunday's home game against St. Louis. The 49ers waived QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson to clear roster.
