Browns Will Figure Out QB Situation In Next 24-48 Hours
(12/2 1:26 PT)

The Facts:
The Browns (4-8) have lost six of their past seven games and they aren’t sure who’ll serve as their starting QB on the road Sunday against the New England Patriots (9-3). HC Rob Chudzinski said the team is keeping all options open at quarterback in the next 24-48 hours until it gets clarity on the status of Jason Campbell and Brandon Weeden, both of whom are dealing with concussions.  Reported by the Akron Beacon Journal

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Chudzinski said Campbell has been cleared for activity but not for practice yet. Campbell suffered a concussion Nov. 24 in the third quarter of a 27-11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Weeden, meanwhile, was diagnosed with a concussion following Sunday’s 32-28 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Chudzinski said he doesn’t know when the injury occurred. Weeden was sent home from the Browns' headquarters today, Chudzinski said. Chudzinski didn’t rule out the possibility of starting Alex Tanney on Sunday or signing a veteran free-agent quarterback off the street to face the Patriots. The Browns signed Tanney off the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad Wednesday. He has never played in a regular-season NFL game. The Browns also worked out veteran free-agent Caleb Hanie last week before opting to go with Tanney. According to Beacon JournaL staffer Nate Ulrich, Chudzinski said he’ll need to know which option he’s going to choose by the time practice resumes Wednesday.
