The Dolphins still have quarterback jobs available despite Daunte Culpepper's arrival, so they continued speaking with Frerotte, whose contract they terminated one day earlier, in hopes of re-signing him as their backup.

Frerotte also was negotiating for backup positions with Denver and Houston. A decision by Frerotte could come as early as today. And even if Frerotte returns, the Dolphins still will look to add a quarterback in the draft, although not likely in the first round.
