Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Shorts was unable to practice last week and was inactive for the team's 27-20 home loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15. Shorts has been playing through groin soreness since early October and it now sounds like the Jags are considering shutting him down for the final two games of the season. Shorts admitted last Thursday that an MRI showed he will eventually need surgery to repair the issue. That said, the wideout would prefer to push through the rest of the year. His immediate plan is to play in Jacksonville's home finale against the Tennessee Titans next Sunday. If the coaching staff prevails, Ace Sanders, Mike Brown and Kerry Taylor will likely close out the season as the Jags' top-three wideouts.
