The Facts:
Head coach Bill Cowher has not made public his decision on which halfback will start for the Steelers this season, but Post-Gazette staffer Ed Bouchette advised readers this morning that Staley will be his man.

Cowher will reportedly wait until at least after the third exhibition game Thursday night in Philadelphia before he anoints Staley as the starter over Bettis. ... We'll continue to monitor, but we've had Staley pegged as the starter since his arrival.
