Cruz’s concussion hasn’t ended his 2013 season just yet. But the end could be coming soon.

The Giants made a roster move that may have pointed to that on Tuesday afternoon. With two games left in the season, the team finally placed CB Corey Webster, who hasn’t played since Oct. 27 due to hamstring and ankle issues, on season-ending injured reserve. To replace him, the Giants called up practice squad receiver Julian Talley. Talley — who, like Cruz, attended UMass — has yet to play in an NFL game. The 24-year-old has been in camp with the Giants the last two seasons. The move gives the Giants depth, and it may signal the end for Cruz, who suffered a concussion and a knee sprain in the third quarter of Sunday’s shutout loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Stay tuned. If Cruz’s season is over, he’ll finish with 73 catches for 998 yards and four TDs, marking the first time in his three-year career that he’s fallen short of the 1,000-yard mark.
