In other words, MJD wants more than anybody is likely to be willing to pay him. Shocking, we know. But that's how negotiations work. One side asks for more than it can get, the other offers less than it should pay and they work from there. ... But Jones-Drew must come to grips with the fact that running back is increasingly a devalued position in the NFL and Jones-Drew turns 29 in March. He has 2,135 career touches on those 29-year-old legs, underwent Lisfranc surgery in 2013, and averaged less than four yards per carry this season. As theRedzone.org noted, with the Redskins finding Alfred Morris in the 6th round in 2012 and the Rams finding Zac Stacy in the 5th in 2013, there's no shortage of viable talent available in the draft -- viable talent with young, fresh legs and less burdonsome salary expectations.
