A throwing session Harvin had with Russell Wilson on Monday, which went extremely well, helped persuade HC Pete Carroll not to place the wide receiver on season-ending injured reserve, league sources said.

Sources went on to tell ESPN's Ed Werder that Harvin, who has played in just one game this season following offseason hip surgery, looked "amazing" during the session and that the Seahawks believe it is possible he will play when the team opens the postseason at home Jan. 11.
