The Facts:
Dorsey was hurt attempting to throw a pass during practice Monday, the same day Tim Rattay returned to full team drills for the first time in three weeks. An MRI revealed that Dorsey has two protruding disks in his lower back.

The 49ers listed Dorsey as doubtful to play in Friday's exhibition game at Minnesota, and it's uncertain when he'll return to practice. Rattay is working back to full strength gradually and has not attempted to throw deep. ... The good news? The less the Niners the throw the more Kevan Barlow runs.
