The Facts:
As he left the facility on Monday, Brown told the Star-Ledger he would be willing to get a deal done with the Giants as soon as possible. According to a person familiar with the situation, the team has already expressed interest in retaining the running back for next season. “Shoot, I got family up here and everything, I’ll do it tomorrow if you want to,” Brown said.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
With David Wilon's future uncertain, GM Jerry Reese is already on the lookout for a backup plan at RB. While this year’s free agency class features a few promising names, Reese knows one of his best options might be Brown, who had almost 600 all purpose yards in eight games -- an impending free agent. Having Brown healthy for the entire year may have changed the course of the Giants season. After he returned from a broken fibula the team’s rushing average went from 69.875 yards per game to 96.625 yards per game. He forced missed tackles, which helped neutralize the downside of a flimsy offensive line. He earned, on average, an extra two yards after first contact. Given all that, if Brown can be had for the right price, it’s hard not to see him as an attractive contingency plan. His repaired fibula withstood 30 carries in his first game back from injured reserve. He has changed his off-field regimen to ensure his bones are stronger. And he wants to be back. So much so, that he’d be willing to sign the papers tomorrow.
