Charles left today's Wildcard playoff game in Inday early in the first quarter. He was given a baseline concussion exam on the sideline moments after hitting his head on the turf at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Chiefs announced his status as questionable.

Charles was taken into the locker room for further examination and was replaced by rookie running back Knile Davis. The league’s third leading rusher is also a factor in Andy Reid’s passing game. Charles, who leads the Chiefs in rushing and receiving yards, appeared to be injured when his head hit the turf after being tackled on a seven-yard run off right end. Charles was on the Chiefs’ bench area for a few plays, then walked off the sideline, ostensibly to be further looked at inside by medical staff.
