Dennis Allen Will Remain Raiders HC
(1/8 12:3 PT)

The Facts:
Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis told ESPN.com in a phone interview Tuesday night that Dennis Allen remains the team's coach, saying he was amused by the drama surrounding their end-of-season meeting Tuesday. "We met this evening at the Raider facility, and the meeting went really well," Davis said. "We talked about a lot of things, from personnel issues to the coaches to a review of the past season to the draft and our needs for next season. We're ready to rock and roll." Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Davis, who called the meeting end-of-season "protocol," said Allen's job security was not an issue and that the two of them would meet Wednesday with general manager Reggie McKenzie to talk about the future. Davis did not want to talk specifically about the status of the assistants Allen wants to retain or whether there was a hang-up over one-year or two-year extensions. ESPN senior NFL writer John Clayton reported earlier Tuesday that "at least six" assistants had been retained. Allen, who has two years remaining on his four-year deal, has gone 4-12 in each of his two seasons with the Raiders.
