The Facts:
Ever since Kevin Gilbride retired as offensive coordinator last week, there has been debate over whether the Giants need a new system. Nicks said that’s not the case and he was confident Eli Manning feels the same way. “I’m sure Eli will want to have the same system,” Nicks said. “He won’t want to change. It’s been working for us in the past.”

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
What Nicks failed to say was that the Giants’ offense stopped clicking in 2013, when it slumped to 28th in the league in total yards. It was so awful that owner John Mara said the unit was “broken.” Days later, Gilbride retired. The person most linked to the job is ex-Giants QB coach Mike Sullivan, who runs the same system that Gilbride did. The Giants are also set to interview former Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains on Wednesday. ... Meanwhile, Nicks added that staying with the Giants, the only NFL team he’s ever known, is “important,” but hinted that it’s not necessary.
“I understand the business side of things if that doesn’t happen,” he said. “We all know this is where I want to be.”
