The Facts:
Looking ahead, the Packers would like Cobb to develop as a wide receiver. To date, he has played inside. With or without James Jones, the Packers envision Cobb playing more outside. “I do," WRs coach Edgar Bennett said this week. "I think just going back and talking about a tough-minded individual, mentally as well as physically, I think he can go outside. That’s something that we certainly talked about and worked on some during training camp. But obviously, he’s a difference-maker in slot. Wherever you put him, he can be a difference. He can continue to be an impact player.”

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Cobb talked about this heading into training camp. He wanted to be more than a slot receiver, even if that's where he excels most. But much like Greg Jennings developing as an overall weapon -- inside, outside, on the move -- the Packers may be looking to do the same with the 5-10, 192-pound Cobb. Jordy Nelson proved to be a big target inside when Cobb went down this season. Ideally, both receivers are able to play inside and outside down the road. From a fantasy perspective, we're on board with anything that makes the Packer offense (and any or all its components) more dangerous.
