NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Mathews is likely to play on his sprained ankle today against the Denver Broncos.

Mathews didn't practice all week and was listed as questionable. According to ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, Mathews will test the ankle in pre-game warmups before a decision is made, but Paolantonio also expects Mathews to give it a go. We'll have his official game stats (along with the complete inactive lists for both the Chargers and Broncos) in the 90 minutes leading up to this afternoon's kickoff).
