The Facts:
Since undergoing single-fusion surgery of his C-3 and C-4 vertebrae in November, Finley has been splitting his rehab between Green Bay and Minneapolis. At some point, the Packers and team doctor Patrick McKenzie will evaluate Finley and decide whether or not to invest long term. In a recent interview with ESPN, Finley suggested he’s not looking to take a discount because of the injury.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
It’s the same injury that ended safety Nick Collins’ career, but Finley’s camp remains hopeful he’ll play again. His size -- 6-4, 258 pounds -- was irreplaceable, but so was his production. Had it not been for a season-ending injury, the 26-year-old tight end was on pace to reset his franchise record for most single-season receiving yards at the position and post career-highs in yards and touchdowns. Instead, the output from the tight end position plummeted from Finley’s 10.1 snaps per reception to 19.3 among the combination of Andrew Quarless, Brandon Bostick, Ryan Taylor and Jake Stoneburner. That said, it's hard to imagine the Packers or any other team paying full value at this point. If Finley is cleared to play again.
