The Ravens announced Friday that it has re-signed Smith, meaning they will boast three ball-carriers -- Smith, Jamal Lewis and Mike Anderson -- that are all over 230 pounds and willing to pound out the yards. "We've got three big backs," said director of pro personnel George Kokinis, "and in the AFC North, if you have three big backs, I think you're ahead of the game."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Smith, who spent most of the 2005 season recovering from a broken leg suffered during the 2004 season, is a hard-nosed runner between the tackles with an explosive burst off the line of scrimmage. Despite their stated pleasure at having three big backs, you'd think they'll need a change of pace back at some point.
