As Profootballtalk.com’s Michael David Smith notes, Pettine emerged as the apparent favorite for the Job after other candidates withdrew their names. The 47-year-old Pettine has never been a head coach beyond the high school level, but he did a good job as defensive coordinator of the Bills last year, and as defensive coordinator of the Jets for three years before that. ...
