Matt Prater Dealing With An Illness; Should Be Fine Next Week
(1/24 5:41 PT)

The Facts:
Prater missed his second straight practice with an illness, but there’s no cause for alarm in Denver. John Fox said he kept Prater home in part to let him recover and in part so he didn’t spread his sickness to anyone else, but either way, Fox said Prater should be fine in plenty of time for the Super Bowl. “A combination of both, like most sick players. We sent him to the doc. They deal with it, give him medication. He’ll be fine,” Fox said, via ESPN.com. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Prater has gone 5-for-6 on field goals in the playoffs and booted all 12 of his kickoffs for touchbacks. As PFT suggests, a major question in the Super Bowl will be whether Prater can keep kicking them deep when he’s not benefiting from Denver’s elevation. We expect him to do just fine.
