No Surgery For Danny Amdendola
(1/25 1:52 PT)

The Facts:
It seemed like a near certainty that Amendola would eventually need surgery to repair the groin injury he suffered during the season opener. But it is currently believed that the New England Patriots wide receiver can heal through rest, according to a source. So Amendola's once inevitable trip to the operating table will be circumvented – at least for now. Reported by MassLive.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Signed to a five-year, $31 million contract prior to the offseason, Amendola hit the ground running in the season opener by catching 10 passes for 104 yards against Buffalo. But he missed the next three games due to the injury and appeared hampered when he initially came back. Amendola moved better later in the season, showing some flashes, but both he and Tom Brady admitted that their chemistry wasn't where they would like it to be heading into the playoffs. Amendola finished his first season with the Patriots with 633 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hopefully, Amendola can build on that with a full offseason and training camp with Brady.
