Chris Johnson To Have Meniscus Repaired
(1/27 9:12 PT)

The Facts:
Johnson is scheduled to have surgery this week to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. Johnson called the procedure “minor.” His recovery time is expected to be roughly a month. Reported by the Nashville Tennessean

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
“It’s nothing major,” Johnson told Tennessean staffer Jim Wyatt via text. “People don’t know I been playing with it since week 3 of the season. ...” Johnson ran for 1,077 yards and six touchdowns in 2013. With a scheduled base salary of $8 million in 2014, Johnson’s future with the team is very much uncertain. He told the Tennessean last month he has no plans to take a pay cut. So, an already interesting offseason gets a little more interesting. We'll follow up as needed.
