After starting 82 consecutive games for the Saints dating back to the 2000 season, Brooks struggled last year and was benched in favor of Todd Bouman for the final three games. He finished with 13 touchdowns, 17 interceptions and a 70.0 rating. Nonetheless, the Raiders' obvious lack of starting experience at the position makes Brooks a viable candidate.
