The Facts:
Steelers receivers Markus Wheaton, Justin Brown and Derek Moye traveled to Irvine, California last week at the request of Roethlisberger. The highly informal training sessions, sans shoulder pads, helmets and defensive backs, were held in Irvine, Calif., home of Rep 1 Sports, where Roethlisberger’s representation is headquartered.

As Times Online staffer Chris Bradford suggested, February workouts can’t replicate NFL game-action but it was a chance for Wheaton, Browna and Moye to work on timing and develop chemistry with the two-time Super Bowl champion QB. It went well,” Moye said. “It was a chance to get out there and catch some balls from him on the field but we didn’t do that all day, we were able to get to know each other a little bit better as well. ...” With Emmanuel Sanders a candidate to move on via free agency this offseason, there will be opportunties in Pittsburgh. It'll be intersting to see if any of the three youngsters working with Big Ben can leverage the extra effort into a larger role.
