Fred Davis Suspended Indefinitely For Violating Substance Abuse Policy
(2/19 3:10 PT)

The Facts:
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Davis has been suspended indefinitely without pay for violating NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.  Reported by FootballDiehards.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
This obviously isn't good news for the veteran TE, who will hit the free-agent market next month. As previously noted, Davis tore an Achilles’ tendon while playing under the franchise tag in 2012. He re-signed with Washington on a one-year deal in 2013, but he was inactive for six games and started only three. In 2011, Davis served a four-game suspension under the substance-abuse policy. The indefinite suspension indicates he was still in Stage 2 of the league's Substance Abuse Policy. ... Stay tuned. We'll follow up as developments warrant.
