The Facts:
According to ESPN insider Chris Mortensen, Brett Favre would have agreed to return for the 2006 season had the Packers signed controversial wideout Terrell Owens to a contract. Mortensen added that Favre seems to be leaning towards returning, but still wants to see team officials make an effort at improving the talent surrounding him.

due a roster bonus tomorrow, but the two sides agreed to push that out to give the veteran signal caller more time to decide. In the meantime, one gets the impression that Favre is doing everything he can to pressure the team to upgrade their roster. Unfortunately, they may have already missed out; most -- if not all -- the truly high-end talent has been spoken for at this point.
