The Facts:
Just one day after declining to match the restricted free agent offer sheet that receiver Kevin Walter had signed with the Texans, the Bengals filled his roster spot by reaching an agreement Chatman. The former Packer will sign a two-year contract, probably on Monday, the financial details of which were not immediately available.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
There is a chance, given offseason developments, that Chatman will challenge for the No. 3 wide receiver spot in the Cincinnati offense -- a critical role, since the Bengals prefer to spread the field. Chatman should also upgrade the Bengals' punt return game, which statistically ranked as the NFL's second-worst in 2005, and he can return kickoffs, too.
